A Walk-in-Interview will be held on 5th April, 2013 at 11.30 A.M. in the Seminar Room of Plant Biology Division at the Centenary Campus of Bose Institute, P-1/12, C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700 054 for one position of either i) Research Associate or ii) Extended Senior Research Fellow in the CSIR sponsored Emeritus Scientist project entitled, "Understanding molecular mechanisms of MYMIV resistance in Vigna mungo through genomic approach", under the guidance of Prof. Amita Pal, Emeritus Scientist, Division of Plant Biology(C.B.). The project is tenable for 03 (three) years, however initially upto 28.02.2014. Details of qualification, Associateship / Fellowship, age etc. are as follows.
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. degree / Ph.D. thesis submitted in the subjects related to Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Plant Sciences.
Desirable Qualification : Working knowledge of gene cloning, genomic and cDNA library preparation and microRNA target prediction.
Associateship/Fellowship : for i) Rs.22,000/-p.m. and for ii) Rs.20,000/- p.m., plus admissible H.R.A. & Medical benefit for both positions, as per CSIR rule.
Age : Below 35 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only as per rule)
Interested and eligible candidates should appear in person directly before the Selection Committee with a typed application quoting advertisement No. on the envelop as well as application with complete Bio-data giving e-mail ID and details of qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary onwards with Attested copies of testimonials addressed to the Registrar, Bose Institute, Kolkata – 700 054 on or before 11.00 A.M. on 5th April, 2013.
